My lovely lady bumps...

I know, I know, I shouldn't have quoted Fergie, but today it seems to be a fitting quote. I went in for an appointment and the doctor casually said, "Let's take a look at the babies instead of listen to their heartbeats." Yea! Almost immediately she was able to tell me that I am having TWO girls! (And with absolute certainty)
What an amazing relief. I don't know why it scared me so much not to know, but a huge weight feels like it has been lifted. I'm sure that weight will come back ten-fold at approximately the age of 14, but for now it's a wonderful feeling.

And for those of you who have asked, here are some pictures of my 23 week belly. Cross your fingers and pray that I make it another 13 weeks!

Yea!!! I'm excited for the girls. Bullying would have been so much easier/more practical if I had a twin when I was younger. I'm kidding of course but hopefully for them they'll look similar enough to at least fool some people. I think you should seriously reconsider naming one "Carrie" or at least "Doh-Doh". Doh-Doh Urtz has a nice ring to it.

AWWW!!! Congratulations!! How exciting! Wow, in one pregnancy the men in your house are outnumbered! I agree with Allison, you look TEENY TINY to be 23 weeks along with twins!! I hope you continue to feel well and that you make it to that all important 13 more weeks mark!

Carrie....Doh-Doh Urtz sounds like doh-doh hurts! Bad idea. I was thinking something more like Hallie & Kaylee. lol Just kidding. Mary....are you going for rhyming names, names that start w/the same letter, etc? When you buy things, are you buying 2 of everything, or will you dress them separately & not matchy=matchy? Just wondering in case I stumble across something cute! You're starting to look alot better....I just can't believe how tiny your tummy is, though! Emily:)

Do you guys recall that I ALWAYS wanted twins? Remember all my names I had picked out?

Boys (my favorite rhyming names):
Dean and Spleen

Girls:
Veronica and Harmonica

*I can no longer remember the other ones I had chosen. I guess it doesn't matter now that you are the one with twins.

Jenny, it's funny until you realize that those WERE her chosen names for years....right about the time she was calling herself "Conway Twitty".....
