Lesson Learned

Last night Ped told me we should start being more careful with where we leave the babies to sit as we do other things. They are quite mobile these days with arching backs and rolling on surfaces. I agreed, but didn't really think much about it.
This morning, I propped Chloe on top of a cushy pillow that her bottom sinks into on the couch. I walked into the kitchen to make Julian's cereal and heard a little fuss out of her, so I walked back to see what she needed.
She had slid off the couch completely, but rather than fall, she was squatting on the floor with her back propped against the couch. It was one of the funniest things I've seen a baby do, and what I wouldn't give for a picture of it! Rather than risk an injury while I grabbed my camera, I picked her up instead.
Good call, Ped.
