My mother-in-law hid 20, and the kids found them so fast that she then started just throwing them behind her back (when they weren't looking) after they had brought them to her. It was hilarious because it went on for a LONG time!!
On a side note...I didn't realize the Easter Bunny watched to make sure you're being good. I guess that explains the giant bunny I've been seeing lurking behind corners. I thought I was turning into Donnie Darko until I read that letter.

Did he find all 48? He looks happy. The Easter Bunny sure was good to him.
